Tricia Costa
Never quit! Make the commitment to stick with it! One of the stories Trish told about her commitment was doing a gift account walk through in her car with her young son in the back seat (and he kept saying "I need to go pee pee!") You will find a way to build your business...

Sherry
Shared about relationship cards for a co-worker "Karen" so has cancer. Sherry created a "card of the day" for Karen using pictures of a different co-worker each day. Karen was brought up on stage to share what it felt like for her to receive a card each day and how it helped her through very tough days fighting the cancer.

Chuck Pousson
3 Things you can do everyday
Residual income to help you get through injuries, children in college, sicknesses...what is your Plan B? Chuck showed Robert Kiyosaki's You Tube video where he explained the four different quadrants of how people earn money
E=Employees "security" is the most important value
S=Self-Employed "solo" is the most important value
B=Big Business -500 Employees or more "looking for smart people to help run business"
I=Investor - "freedom" Have money work for them

Even if you are making a few dollars a month in residual income, think of how much money you need to have in the bank to earn that same amount in interest.

Let's say you are currently making $200 per month in residual income. In order to make $200 in interest, you would need to have $24,000 in the bank at 10% interest.

If you were earning 5% interest, you would need $48,000 in the bank to get the same $200 in residual income. If you need $2,000/month to retire you would need = $400,000 at 6% interest. If you need $5,000/month to retire you would need = $1,000,000 at 6% interest.

Steve Linton - SOC Rep & Author of How I Made Six Figures In One Month
Steve uses Personal Contact Marketing when asked what he does his response "I help people make a ton of money working for themselves"...he gives them a business opportunity CD, walks away, leave them with curiosity. Requires you to get uncomfortable and talk to people. Go out and start a conversation the next time add something on top of just the small talk. Don't be in "need" mode. Restaurant servers at upscale restaurants are excellent prospects. People working on weekends "What are you doing working on the weekend"

Michael Yanke requested we send a card to one of his friends who has cancer - she could really use the support!

Adam Packard - Leading a Team, Managing for Results
Leaders are not born, they are made.
How do you know if you are a leader?
What traits do leaders have?
How can you become a leader?
You want to lead your team, not manage it.

Leaders are always working on themselves and have a personal development plan. What are you reading right now? When was the last seminar you attended? Constant and Never Ending Improvement. My plan - always investing in myself. Put your head down and get to Senior Manager. You shouldn't be doing any managing until you're at least Sr. Manager.

Leaders have huge vision. Jordan Adler, our #1 income earner, has 44,000 distributors on his team. For some, that is a lot, for Jordan, it's a great start.

Do you see things as they are or see things as how they can be? Leaders focus on the big picture, no the little picture. Big Picture (expansion, team building, events, growth) Little Picture (Card Editor issues, team members not working) 80% of your time spent in highest code - what does that mean? Does that mean I leave everyone else behind - No!

Leaders take responsibility. Where you are right now is a direct result of what you've done. You are responsible for your business, it's all you, nothing else. It's no the comp plan, the product, your upline, the economy, it's you! Leaders don't make excuses - you can make money or you can make excuses.

Solution oriented vs Problem oriented. Leaders look at obstacles differently - for most people an obstacle is the point where most quit. For leaders, they use it as a stepping stone to get to the next level. Challenges just test how bad you want it...if it were easy, everyone would do it. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change.

Leaders are committed and focused. Are you a jack of all trades and a master of none? Leaders decide to do something and never look back. If you get what you focus on, and you aren't focused on anything, what will you get? Your team will rally around you if you are committed. Leaders associate with other leaders. Take your top 5 friends and guess what they make. Your financial income will be the average of your 5 friends. How can you get to the next level? Do the Daily8 for your own business, then work with your team.

Leaders see things others don't. Leaders see potential and possibility. Leaders want to see others succeed more than themselves. Leaders have the best attitude and love life. Look for "hot pockets" in your team and work with them. Leaders see team members as who they can be, not for who they are.

Jeff Packard - Setting Up Your New People For Success - People Will Do What You Do
Your future lies in the people you haven't met yet. Put yourself out there so people notice you. Make it your goal to hand out one DVD to someone every day. "There's no such thing as a rich hermit" - Jim Rohn Get people to know you - if you don't like yourself, work on yourself (personal development)

People ask themselves if they can do what you do
Don't make this hard, it's easy!

Are we in Sales? We are in the sorting business. Don't convince people, instead help them, show them another way, tell them your story why you got involved in SOC. Facts tell, and figures are boring, stories and testimonials are inspiring.

Timing. Is it their time, or our time? To simply get more enrollments, plant more seeds. Please, please stop chasing the same people, just plant some new seeds.

Where do you find people? Everywhere! It's our job to make the connections. Act on F.O.R.M. If people say...I don't have enough time to spend with my family, etc then say "I think I can help you with that" and give them a DVD after they watch it, give them a Gift Account and walk them through sending a card.

Arlene Wilcox, from Canada, holds the Mary Kay recruiting record - shared with everyone how she sends 3 cards a day and loves building her SOC business.

Card Parties - Show DVD, have guest send a card, Follow Up with Prospects & Customers
Don't let a prospect say "I'll call you back" Say, "If I don't hear back from you, do I have your permission to call you if I don't hear from you by _____?"
